How to make your own Beeswax.

Beeswax can either be purchased ready made, a few good makes are Fiddies, Briwax and Morwax, ( I have found a good value shop online that sells Fiddies, copy and paste this link  http://www.restexpress.co.uk/acatalog/   and then find "Fiddies Supreme Wax 400ml light",  but I prefer to make my own from natural beeswax blocks and genuine turpentine. (Liberon is a good make),(do not use turpentine substitute, it will not work and you will be wasting your money)

Grate 1 block of beeswax into a container with 1 table spoon of genuine turpentine and mix it with a wooden stick, leave it for a couple of days and check that all the grated beeswax has formed into a smooth paste, if it is to runny then add more grated beeswax and if it is to dry then add more turpentine, it is a matter of trial and error until the correct texture is achieved, a smooth paste which is not too hard to apply to the wood and will polish up easily will give the best results.
